WONDER CHURCH

Texting terms

Last updated October 9, 2026

Wonder Church (operated by Wonder Church Inc.) sends text messages to the people of its church about church life: replies to the messages you send us, pastoral care and follow-up after a visit, and reminders about the serving and events you signed up for. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

How you agree to receive texts

You receive texts from Wonder Church only after you agree, in one of two ways:

  • you text the church’s number first, and we reply to you; or
  • you tell a pastor or member of church staff, in person or in writing, that we may text you. Before recording your yes, staff read you this, word for word:
“Can Wonder Church text you at this number? Our pastors and staff send a few texts a month about church life. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime to stop, or HELP for help. We will not share your mobile number or your consent with third parties for marketing. Our texting terms and privacy policy are at wonder.church/texting and wonder.church/privacy.”

Staff then record your yes on your record in the church’s management software, with when and how you gave it. No one is texted without that record or without having texted us first.

The church's consent step: staff record a spoken or written yes, the script they read, and a reply to someone who texted first
How staff record your agreement, and a conversation that began with your text.

Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of attending, giving, or taking part in anything at Wonder Church. We will not share your mobile number or your consent with third parties for marketing; see our privacy policy.

How often, and the cost

Message frequency varies; usually a few texts a month. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
